Needed tools:

Photoshop or any other image editing program.
1) Copy "D2Archiver.exe" program and "msvcr71.dll" to this directory
C:\Program Files\JoWooD\King

2) Start and run "D2Archiver.exe" program wait 10 sec a open dialog appears..
3) Browse to C:\Program Files\JoWooD\King\COMMON
and open "TRUCKS.RES" file


4) Now all PNG image have been extracted to :
C:\Program Files\JoWooD\King\COMMON\TRUCKS\TEXTUREFILES
5) Now you can open a truck texture file and paint it
open "Volvo_kabine1.PNG" Right click it and open with if you have photoshop installed then open it with that.
Make you modification in photoshop then Save the PNG file in same dir.

6) Once you done modifying PNG texture file then you need to Compress the RES file back
Go to this dir C:\Program Files\JoWooD\King\COMMON\TRUCKS
Right click the file "TRUCKS.D2IMP" and select Open With "D2Archiver" and hit ok button

Now the file "TRUCKS.RES" will be repacked and moved back to COMMON dir, and the original one will be renamed to "TRUCKS.D2BAK"
That was all start the "king of the road" game and play , if you see your modified truck skin in the game
then you have done all correct.

About res files:
Res files It simply a Resource File, It compiled the images,sound,video,data, etc into one file and the game read and load from it. It simply like a zip archive.
The *.b3d file must be collision mesh data files
and the .OVL is plain text def files...
Right now modifying the 3d Mess ins not possible we can only modify existing defult truck skin PNG textures...
